Getting Data in PiinPoint

Demographic data in PiinPoint can be extracted by block group / DA level, city boundary, county lines, or your own uniquely identified trade area.

Trade areas in PiinPoint can be defined by:

  • Walktimes

  • Drivetimes

  • Custom Drawn Polygons

  • Ring Series e.g. 1,3,5 miles

  • Individual Rings

Shape Context Menus

You can learn more about building trade areas here. Once you've defined and saved a trade area, click anywhere within the shape to pull up its context menu:

The context menu is your gateway to reporting and analysis in PiinPoint! By clicking Summarize Data, you can quickly find the demographics and data within that trade area. 

The demographics shown in the quick view are based on whatever variables you've picked in your Target Market panel. For example, let's say you're interested in Total Population, Median Age, and Daytime Population:

Those three variables will be what drives the resulting criteria shown in the top right-hand corner of the screen once you click Summarize Data:
