Using the Layers tool, you can find the central point amongst a set of Locations.

You might look for the center of gravity when you're helping an office client identify the optimal location for their employees' commuting times:

Or, while doing logistics planning to place a food services center close to all stores:

To calculate the center of gravity, you'll need to start by bringing your locations of interest into PiinPoint.

  1. Upload a Layer with all your restaurant sites, employees, etc.

  2. Click on the ellipses to the right of your Layer name.

  3. Select Layer Info.

Once you click on the Layer Info panel, you'll see the Name of the Layer, the Owner of the Layer, and the Center of Gravity:

Copy and paste the latitude and longitude coordinates into your search bar, and you'll see the central point of your Layer appear.
