PiinPoint is now optimized for a mobile experience! Reference this article to see what's been included, and how to access it.

PiinPoint has now been optimized for your mobile device! Make use of PiinPoint while on the road to make sure you have access to the necessary site and market information you need. This article will outline the key features included, as well as how to access the mobile version of PiinPoint.

Accessing PiinPoint on Mobile

To access PiinPoint, simply download the mobile Chrome app from your app store. You can use Safari however Chrome will offer the smoothest experience as that’s what we’ve been developing for.

If working on an iPhone, use this link to download Chrome.

If working on Android, use this link instead.

Once downloaded, navigate to app.piinpoint.com and log in using your regular credentials.

Navigating Mobile PiinPoint

Once logged in, you’ll notice the layout of PiinPoint has been slightly altered. You can however find your regular feature panel by clicking on the icon at the top right corner.

You can also use the location finder to allow PiinPoint to geocode your location and plot it on the map. Note: You will need to make sure your browser has access to location services for this feature to work.

Check Your Nearby Locations and their Performance

While on the road conducting site tours, you may find it helpful to have your location data on hand for quick access.

Navigate to the necessary location by selecting it from the dropdown menu.

Review that locations attributes, and jump into street view mode:

Plot Retailers Using the Points of Interest Panel

Visualize your nearby Points of Interest from the POI panel on the right hand side.

You can bring in both individual brands (eg. Starbucks), as well as brand categories (eg. Grocery).

Build a Trade Area

Open the trade area builder from the main menu at the bottom of the screen:

Select the type of trade area you would like to draw, and enter any other necessary information if needed:

Click Enter, and drop the trade area directly on the map:

Quickly View the Demographics of Your Trade Area

Click on your drawn trade area to open its menu. This will now appear at the bottom of the screen. Click “Summarize” to get a quick view into your selected demographics.

Note: Keep in mind, the demographics that appear here will be the same that you have added to your Target Market panel. So if you don’t see the demographics you need showing here, simply add them to your Target Market panel before clicking “Summarize” or building any reports.

Build a Site Report

If you’d like more detailed information on your trade area, click “Go to Report” after clicking on your trade area to open a full single site report which has now also been optimized for a mobile experience.

Or you can also view your reports library to open any previously generated reports by clicking “View Reports” from the main menu:

View Municipal Traffic Studies

Municipal traffic counts are also available on mobile. Simply toggle the dropdown to “Car” or “Pedestrian” the same way you would on desktop, and tap any icon directly from the map to get the traffic estimation for that location.

Explore the Marketmatch Scorecard Results in the Surrounding Area

You can also view the results of your Marketmatch or Directional Scorecard on mobile. First, navigate to the Layers panel:

Then, simply toggle on the appropriate layer from the Layers panel, and the points will appear directly on the map.

Note: You will not have access to your layers legends on Mobile, so make sure you have the appropriate categories toggled on in the desktop version first:

Run a Sales Prediction

If you’ve done a sales forecasting project with PiinPoint, you can also run a sales prediction off an existing candidate point. Simply toggle on the appropriate Candidate layer and click “Prediction”.

Note: You will need to make sure all necessary candidate points are added to a layer before logging in on mobile as that feature only currently exists on desktop.
