Once a report is generated you may find that you or your client would like to have some additional demographics, or maybe you want to see a larger trade area of POIs. There are a few ways you can customize the information you see within the report.
This article outlines how to edit the following sections on your report:
Demographics
Add Demographics
You can add or remove any custom variable that you set, from either the Overview or Demographics tab. Select Add Variable to bring up a pop up for the familiar demographic variable selector from the target market panel where you can add additional variables. Click Save when you have finished your demographic selection.
Add a Custom Demographic Table
Add in all the data on a certain demographic, separated automatically into ranges by using Custom Demographics Tables at the bottom of the Demographics tab. Click + Add/Remove Tables at the top right of the Custom Demographic Tables section to select the variable that you want to include in your report. The table will populate the information for your trade area and your comparison rings.
Re-order Demographic Variables
By default, your Demographics will load into the report in alphabetical order, but you can rearrange their list view by filtering the various comparison columns, or by dragging and dropping one criteria to another part of the list.
Points of Interest (POIs)
Add POIs to your report
Bring in a new category or brand to your report. Click on the + button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and select the option to Add/Remove POIs:
The pop-up modal will allow you to search for POIs by brand or category, just like on the map page. Click Save when you have finished your POI selection.
Customize what area your POIs are drawing from
Head to the POI tab at the top of your report and select the Change to Radius button under your map. Click and drag the slider to customize the radius range that captures POIs. The number of POIs adjust to the size of the trade area specified:
Traffic
Bring municipal traffic counts into your reports by selecting the type of traffic to show in the Traffic Volumes box in the bottom left hand corner:
Comparison Ranges
What are Comparison Ranges?
Let's say you'd like to do some validating on whether a 2 or 2.5 mile ring will give you the minimum Daytime Population count your concept needs. Or perhaps your client would like to report on an urban site by a 10 minute walk, but also have the industry standard's 1,3,5 kms radii to also look at.
Add Comparison Ranges
Click the + button in the bottom left-hand corner of the report and select Add/Remove Comparisons:
Once the new ranges have been saved, you'll see the new comparison show up within your report's maps and trade area benchmark menus.
๐ก Keep in Mind: The unit of measurement for the radius will be based on whether your account preferences are set to the Metric or Imperial system.
Comparison ranges that are included in a report are first established within the Build a Report modal's Optional Settings. For more tips on the Build a Report modal, see here.
